Navigating the StretchWire Dashboard and Overview Metrics

The StretchWire dashboard (the launcher home) is your command center: a quick pulse on everything you've built, a fast way to create, and one-click access to recent work. This article explains every part of it.

Open the dashboard

Launch StretchWire from the workspace app rail. You always arrive on the dashboard tab. To return here later, click Dashboard (or Home) in the left navigation, or press G then B for Boards, G then P for Projects, and click Home to come back.

The launcher home, part by part

1. Hero prompt — "What will you wireframe today?" sits at the top as the starting point for a new wireframe.
2. Quick-create tiles — a row of one-click starters: New wireframe, Website frame, Mobile frame, Tablet frame, App layout, Board, Project, Templates, Import, Custom size, New design, and More. Each tile jumps straight into the matching create flow.
3. Overview strip — live counts for your organization (explained below).
4. Recent wireframes — your eight most recently updated projects, newest first, each as a clickable card.
5. Left navigation — Dashboard, Projects, Boards, App layouts, Templates, Import, and More.

Understanding the overview metrics

The overview summarizes your organization's wireframing activity. Each number is computed live:

• Projects — the total number of wireframe projects in your organization.
• Active — projects with a status of active (work in progress or approved for build).
• Draft — projects still in draft (early-stage or not yet started).
• Boards — the total count of boards across all your projects.
• Status breakdown — a by-status tally so you can see, for example, how many projects are draft vs. active at a glance.
• Last updated — the timestamp of your most recently touched project, so you can tell how fresh the workspace is.

Tip: Use Active vs. Draft as a lightweight portfolio health check. A pile of stale drafts is a cue to archive or promote them.

Recent wireframes

The Recent wireframes row shows the projects you've touched most recently. Click any card to open its project detail, where you'll see its boards. Because the list is ordered by last update, the project you're actively working on stays at the top — making it a reliable "jump back in" shortcut.

Moving between projects and boards

• Projects view — every project as a table: title and key, client (or Internal), type, brand, board count, status, and last-updated. Click a row to open the project.
• Boards view — every board across your projects: title, parent project, viewport, status, and last-updated. Click Open to launch the canvas.
• App layouts view — projects that group the many screens of a product (see Board settings and viewport modes and Templates and app layouts).

Example

You open StretchWire on Monday. The overview reads 6 projects · 2 active · 4 draft · 19 boards, last updated Friday. Recent wireframes shows Acme Marketing Site on top. You click it, see its Home, Pricing, and Contact boards, and click Open on Pricing to pick up where you left off — no searching required.

Tips

• The quick-create tiles are the fastest path to a new project, board, or import — you rarely need to dig into a menu.
• Watch the Boards count over time; a healthy project grows boards as the sitemap fills in.
• If a project you expect is missing from Recent, confirm you're in the right organization — StretchWire is org-scoped.

FAQ

Why do my counts differ from a teammate's? The overview is scoped to your organization. Everyone in the same org sees the same numbers; different orgs are isolated.

Do archived projects count as Active? No. Archived projects are excluded from the active tally.
