Overview
The Dashboard is the first screen you see in StretchSocial. It answers three questions quickly: how much content and how many channels do we have, what's the mix and health of that content, and what's scheduled soon. Everything on it is scoped to your organization, so the numbers reflect only your workspace.
Read the stat strip
Across the top of the dashboard is a row of stat cards. Each shows a number and a short label:
- Platforms — how many networks are available in the supported-network registry.
- Posts — the total number of post records (drafts and scheduled) in your workspace.
- Connections — how many channels (accounts) you've registered and how many are ready.
- Scheduled — posts that have a publish time or a scheduled status.
- Approvals — posts currently waiting for review (pending or needs-approval).
Use the strip as a daily pulse: a rising Approvals number means work is piling up for reviewers; a Scheduled number of zero for the week ahead means your calendar is empty.
Read the charts
Below the stat strip the dashboard shows visual summaries:
- Campaign mix — a bar chart showing how your posts are distributed across campaigns. Posts without a campaign are grouped as Unassigned, so a large Unassigned bar is a hint to tag your content.
- Status mix — a donut chart breaking posts down by their publish status (draft, scheduled, published, and so on). After a launch, this is the fastest way to confirm posts moved from Scheduled to Published.
- Seven-day schedule — a chart plotting how many posts are scheduled on each of the next seven days. Empty days and overloaded days both stand out here.
Read status chips anywhere in the app
StretchSocial uses color-coded chips consistently across every tab, so learning them once pays off everywhere:
- Green — Connected, Active, Approved, Published, Complete, OK. Ready or done.
- Amber — Scheduled, Pending, Queued, Needs approval, Draft, In review. In progress.
- Red — Failed, Blocked, Rejected, Error, Disconnected. Needs attention.
- Grey — no specific status yet.
Use the shortcut cards
The dashboard also surfaces short explainer cards that link straight to the relevant tab — for example an Approval calendar card that jumps to Calendar, or a Governance card that jumps to Insights. They're a quick way to move from a summary into the tool that acts on it.
Concrete example
It's Monday morning and you open the dashboard:
- The stat strip shows Approvals: 4, so four drafts need review. You click into Approvals and clear them.
- The Seven-day schedule shows bars on Tuesday and Thursday but nothing Wednesday or Friday. You open Calendar and slot two approved posts into the empty days.
- The Status mix donut still shows several posts as Draft. You open Compose, finish the drafts with failing approval checks, and send them to review.
In three moves the dashboard told you exactly where the week needed attention.
Tips
- Treat a large Unassigned bar in Campaign mix as a nudge to tag posts with a campaign — it makes analytics far more useful.
- If the numbers look stale, click Refresh (top-right) to reload the workspace.
- The dashboard is read-only: it summarizes, but you make changes in Compose, Approvals, Calendar, and Connections.
Troubleshooting
- All counts are zero. Either the workspace is new (add a connection and a post) or your session expired — refresh the page.
- A chart says "No data yet." You don't have posts in that dimension yet; create and tag a post, then return.
- The strip won't load. Use Refresh; if it persists, see Troubleshooting publishing and connections.
