Monitoring the Publishing Queue and Insights

Track individual publishing jobs in the Queue and use the Insights dashboard to keep readiness, campaigns, and channels healthy.

Overview

Once posts are scheduled, two tabs help you keep delivery healthy: the Queue shows individual publishing jobs and any errors, and Insights rolls up the bigger picture — readiness, campaigns, connected channels, and queue load.

Read the publishing queue

1. Open the Queue tab.
2. Review the table. Each row is one publishing job with these columns:

- Post — the post title and its campaign.

- Platform — the target network for this job.

- Job — the job type (typically publish).

- Status — a chip such as Queued, Scheduled, Published, or Failed.

- Scheduled — when the job is due.

- Error — the failure reason, or - if there's no error.

3. Scan the Status column for anything marked failed, and check the Error column for the reason.

Tip: A post targeting three networks produces three queue jobs — one per platform — so a single post can appear multiple times in this table. That's expected and lets each network succeed or fail independently.

Use the Insights view

The Insights tab summarizes your account health with a stat strip and charts:

  • Readiness — the percentage of draft-checklist items passing across all your posts. A high number means your drafts are consistently complete.
  • Campaigns — how many active content groups you have.
  • Connections — available channels.
  • Queue — total publishing jobs.

Below the stats you'll find a Campaigns bar chart showing how posts are distributed across campaigns, plus insight cards:

  • Engagement proxy — post targets plus queue jobs, a relative activity signal until live provider analytics are connected.
  • Connected channels — how many of your connections are connected/active.
  • Scheduled posts — how many posts have a time or a scheduled status.

Insights vs. Analytics

Insights is a health-and-readiness dashboard focused on quality (are our drafts complete? are channels connected? is the queue loaded?). Analytics is a per-post performance view with a completed/failed breakdown and a detailed table. Use Insights for a weekly quality check and Analytics to inspect specific posts and campaigns — see Campaign analytics for the deep dive.

A weekly monitoring routine

  1. Monday: Open Insights, note the Readiness percentage and campaign mix, and confirm scheduled posts for the week.
  2. Daily: Glance at the Queue for any Failed status and read the Error column.
  3. After a launch: Check Analytics and the status mix to confirm posts moved from Scheduled to Published.

Tips

  • Use the Readiness percentage as a team quality bar. If it dips, open Compose, find drafts with failing approval checks (missing caption, campaign, network, or CTA), and complete them before scheduling.
  • A single failed job doesn't fail the whole post — networks are independent, so fix the one channel and reschedule.
  • The engagement figure is a proxy, not a platform-reported number; treat it as a relative activity signal.

Troubleshooting

  • A queue job shows Failed. Read the Error column. Common causes are a disconnected channel or a scheduling problem. Fix the connection (look for a red chip in Connections), then reschedule from Calendar.
  • Readiness is low across the board. Your drafts are missing required fields; complete captions, campaigns, networks, and CTAs in Compose.
  • Engagement proxy looks flat. Until live analytics are connected it reflects targets plus queue jobs only — expect it to move with activity, not real reach.
