Composing Multi-Network Posts

Overview

The Compose tab is where you create a single post and send it to multiple networks. Each draft keeps its own campaign, call-to-action, schedule, per-platform targets, and asset notes, plus a live readiness score and a four-point approval checklist so your team can review faster and ship complete content.

Create a post

1. Open the Compose tab and click New post.
2. Enter a Title (an internal label, e.g. Q3 Webinar announce) and write your Body — this is the caption that goes to the networks.
3. Under the body, click the network buttons to choose your targets. Selected networks turn solid; click again to remove one. Available networks are LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, TikTok, and YouTube.
4. Fill in the supporting fields:
- Campaign — groups the post with related content (used in the campaign charts and analytics).
- CTA — the call-to-action label, e.g. Book a demo.
- Destination URL — where the CTA points.
- Schedule — an optional date/time; setting it moves the post toward the scheduled state.
- Asset notes — media, creative, or client-approval notes for reviewers.
5. Click Create post. The draft appears under Recent drafts on the right.

Read the readiness score and approval checklist

Every draft carries a score out of 100, shown as a chip next to the composer heading (for example 84/100 ready). The chip turns green at 70+, amber from 45–69, and muted below 45. Below the fields an approval panel shows how many of four checks pass:

1. Caption present — the body isn't empty.
2. Campaign named — a campaign is set.
3. Network selected — at least one target network is chosen.
4. CTA or destination — a CTA label or destination URL is present.

Here's exactly how the score is built, so you can reach a green chip deliberately:

• Each passing check adds 18 points (all four = 72, which alone is enough for a green chip).
• A caption of at least 80 characters adds 14 points.
• Keeping the caption within 280 characters adds 8 points.
• Including a ? or # adds 6 points.
• The total is capped at 100.

So a complete post with all four checks passing, an 80–280 character caption, and a hashtag scores 100.

Edit an existing draft

1. In Recent drafts, click any post to open it in the editor.
2. Change the body, networks, campaign, CTA, destination, schedule, or asset notes.
3. Click Save post.

You can't save a post with an empty body — the Save/Create button stays disabled until a caption is present and the required fields are complete.

Concrete example

You're launching a webinar and want it on LinkedIn and X:

1. New post → Title: Q3 Webinar announce.
2. Body: Join our live session on scaling social ops. Save your seat 👇 #Webinar.
3. Click LinkedIn and X to target both.
4. Campaign: Q3 Webinar, CTA: Register, Destination URL: https://acme.example/webinar.
5. The readiness chip reads around 98/100 and all four approval checks pass.
6. Click Create post, then send it to Approvals.

Tips

• Keep an eye on network character limits — X allows 280 characters while LinkedIn allows 3,000. Write a tighter version for short-form networks if a caption is long.
• A hashtag or question mark both nudges the readiness score up and tends to improve engagement.
• The Title is internal; the Body is public. Use titles your team can scan.
• Add clear Asset notes so reviewers know what creative accompanies the caption.

Troubleshooting

• The Create/Save button is disabled. A post requires a body and the required fields; add a caption and select at least one network.
• "body is required." The caption is empty — add text and try again.
• The score won't reach green. Make all four checks pass; that alone gives 72, which is green.
