Overview
Beyond boards, StretchProjects gives you task queues for day-to-day execution. The Today, Upcoming, and Completed tabs list individual tasks by due date and completion, while Projects and Labels organize them into deliverables and categories.
Work your day with Today
- Click Today in the left rail.
- You'll see every task due today in a table with columns Task, Project, Priority, Status, and Due.
- Tasks that don't belong to a project show Inbox in the Project column.
Use this as your daily working list — highest-priority items are flagged with colored priority chips (Critical/High stand out).
Plan ahead with Upcoming
- Click Upcoming.
- This lists tasks with a future due date, so you can see what's coming and rebalance before things pile up.
Tip: The dashboard's Overdue and Due today KPI cards summarize these queues at a glance — check them first thing to spot anything slipping.
Review finished work with Completed
- Click Completed.
- This reporting view lists completed tasks with a Completed timestamp column instead of a due date.
Use it for status updates and retrospectives — it's your record of what shipped and when.
Example
At standup, a team lead opens Today to read out what's due, switches to Upcoming to flag a deadline landing tomorrow, then opens Completed to confirm yesterday's tasks are closed out. In three clicks they've covered what's due, what's next, and what's done.
Organize deliverables with Projects
- Click Projects.
- A KPI strip shows totals: Projects, Active, Sections, and Tasks rolled up.
- The table lists each project with its Key, Status, section count, and task count. Projects with sections show them as chips.
Projects are the larger deliverables that individual tasks roll up into — a level above the day-to-day queue.
Categorize with Labels
- Click Labels.
- Each label shows its color dot, name, key, and status.
Labels let you slice work across boards and projects — for example, pulling every seo task regardless of which board it lives on.
How queues relate to boards
The queues and the board are two views of the same work. A card on a board has a due date; that due date is what places it in Today or Upcoming, and completing it moves it into Completed. Keep due dates current on your cards and the queues stay accurate automatically.
Tips
- Give every actionable item a due date so it appears in a queue — undated work is invisible to Today/Upcoming.
- Triage Upcoming at the start of the week so nothing surprises you on its due day.
- Use Completed as your evidence log for weekly reports and client updates.
- Group related tasks under a project so progress rolls up rather than living as scattered to-dos.
Troubleshooting
The Labels tab says labels aren't populated yet.
That's a soft note, not an error. Labels are managed in StretchTasks; once you create them there, they list on the Labels tab automatically.
A task isn't in any queue.
Queues are driven by the due date. A task with no due date won't appear in Today or Upcoming — open the item and set one.
A completed task still shows as due.
Make sure the task is actually marked complete; the Completed queue reads completion state, and an item merely moved to a late stage without being completed will still count by its due date.
