Reading the Dashboard and Boards

Overview

The Dashboard is your at-a-glance command center, and the Boards tab is the index of every board. Together they answer "where does everything stand?" without opening a single card. This guide explains each KPI, chart, and panel so you can read the numbers with confidence.

The KPI strip

The dashboard opens with a strip of key numbers:

• Boards — how many live project boards exist.
• Roadmap items — total items on the master board.
• High priority — High + Critical items.
• In progress — items in the active delivery lane.
• Active tasks, Overdue, Due today, Completed — the state of your task queues.
• Docs required / Changelog required — items carrying KB, Ops Doc, or changelog flags.
• Projects / Project-linked — tracked deliverables and items tied to a project.

Read the strip top-down: Overdue and Due today tell you what's urgent, In progress tells you the current load, and Docs required tells you what still owes documentation before it can ship.

The charts

Below the KPIs, four charts visualize the roadmap:

1. Items by stage — a bar chart of how many items sit in each column. A tall Blocked or Review bar is a bottleneck worth discussing.
2. Items by priority — a donut splitting the roadmap by Low/Medium/High/Critical. A large Critical slice means the team is firefighting.
3. Items by board — which boards hold the most items, so you can spot where effort is concentrated.
4. Items created over time — new items over the last several weeks, a read on intake velocity.

A Roadmap by stage panel repeats the stage breakdown as labeled progress bars, with an Open the board shortcut.

Recent boards and activity

Three panels help you jump back into recent work:

• Recent boards — boards updated most recently; click one to open it.
• Newly created boards — the newest boards.
• Recent activity — the latest events (created / moved / updated), each tagged with a colored chip and a relative timestamp.

The activity feed is the fastest way to see what teammates changed since you were last in the app.

Browse every board

1. Click Boards in the left rail.
2. The table lists each board with its title and description, key, visibility (e.g. Workspace or Internal), item count, and owner.
3. Click a board to open it, or scan item count to find boards that have grown large.

Example

Before a weekly review, a delivery lead opens the dashboard, notes In progress = 4 and Overdue = 1, glances at Items by stage to confirm nothing is piling up in Blocked, and checks Docs required = 2 to see what still needs a KB article before release. They click the Recent activity feed to confirm yesterday's moves landed, then open the busiest board from Recent boards to run the standup.

Tips

• Start every standup on the dashboard — the KPI strip is a 10-second status report.
• If Overdue is above zero, jump straight to the Today/Upcoming queues to triage.
• Watch Items by stage over time; a persistently tall Review or Blocked bar is a process problem, not a one-off.
• Use Recent activity to catch up after time away instead of scanning every board.

Troubleshooting

The dashboard is stuck on "Loading…"
It pulls boards, roadmap, activity, projects, and the task overview together, so give it a moment. If it persists, switch to another tab and back to re-trigger the load, and check for an error banner naming the failing area.

A KPI looks wrong.
Counts read from item status, which is kept in sync with the column. If a number looks off, open the board and confirm cards are in the stages you expect — a card left in the wrong column will be counted by that stage.
