Understanding Your StretchMeet Dashboard

A tour of the StretchMeet dashboard — overview metrics, providers, meeting rooms, live sessions, and recordings.

The StretchMeet dashboard is your home base. It brings together everything the app is tracking — your meetings, who's connected, what's live right now, and what's been recorded — so you can jump straight to what you need. This article explains each area and how to use it.

The overview panel

At the top of the dashboard is the overview, a snapshot of your meeting activity. Use it to answer questions like:

  • How many meetings are scheduled or live right now?
  • How many recordings do I have?
  • Which providers are connected?

Think of the overview as your at-a-glance health check before a busy day of calls.

Providers

The Providers area lists the meeting engines your workspace can use:

  • StretchMeet (native) — the built-in real-time engine, available by default.
  • External providers — third-party meeting services you've connected.
  • Custom providers — advanced or in-house integrations.

Each provider shows a connection status: connected, configured, needs auth (it needs to be re-authorized), or disabled. One provider can be marked as the default that new meetings use unless you choose otherwise. See Choosing Between the Native Engine and External Providers for details.

Meeting rooms

The Rooms (meetings) list shows your recent and upcoming meetings with their current status:

  • Draft — created but not fully scheduled.
  • Scheduled — has a start time and is waiting to begin.
  • Live — happening right now.
  • Ended — finished.
  • Cancelled / Archived — no longer active.

Click any room to open its details, edit settings, copy the join link, start or end it, or review its recordings and artifacts.

Sessions

A session is an actual instance of a meeting running on the engine. The Sessions list shows recent and active sessions, which is useful when you want to confirm a meeting really connected and see where it ran. Most of the time you'll work at the room level, but sessions are there when you need the underlying detail.

Recordings

The Recordings list gathers the recordings captured across your meetings. From here you can open a recording, and jump to its transcript and AI summary if those were enabled. Recordings appear after a meeting finishes and processing completes.

How to read the dashboard for a typical day

  1. Start with the overview to see what's live and what's coming up.
  2. Scan Rooms for your next scheduled meeting and open it a few minutes early.
  3. Check Providers if you plan to use an external service, to confirm it isn't in a needs auth state.
  4. After your calls, open Recordings to grab any recording, transcript, or summary you need to share.

A realistic example

David manages a support team that runs onboarding calls all day. Each morning he opens the StretchMeet dashboard, glances at the overview to confirm nothing is stuck live from yesterday, checks that his external provider still shows connected, and reviews the Rooms list to see the day's scheduled sessions. After the last call, he opens Recordings, grabs the transcript for the trickiest onboarding, and shares the AI summary with the customer's account manager.

Tips

  • Refresh before a big block of calls. The dashboard reflects the latest state each time it loads.
  • Watch for needs auth. If an external provider slips into that state, reconnect it before your next call so the meeting doesn't fail to launch.
  • Use the Rooms status column as a to-do list. Anything still live that shouldn't be is worth ending; lingering draft rooms can be cleaned up.

FAQ

Why is a meeting still showing as live after it ended?
The room may not have been formally ended. Open it and click End to move it to the ended state. See Hosting a Live Meeting for the difference between leaving and ending.

Where do recordings go?
They're stored as meeting artifacts within StretchSuite and listed under Recordings. See Recording Your Meetings and Transcripts, AI Summaries & Artifacts.

Can I see meetings other people created?
You'll see meetings within your workspace organization according to your access. Access is controlled at the workspace level.
