Overview
As you move through a course, StretchLearn keeps a running record of what you've done. This article explains what's tracked, how your progress percentage is calculated, how the app remembers where you left off, and what to check when the numbers look off.
What StretchLearn tracks
Your progress lives on your enrollment — the record that connects you to a course. It holds:
- Progress percent — how far through the course you are overall.
- Status — whether the enrollment is active or completed.
- Enrolled date and last activity — when you joined and when you were last active.
- Completion date — when you finished, once you do.
Beneath that, StretchLearn tracks each lesson individually:
- Lesson status — whether a lesson is completed or still in progress.
- Time spent — the seconds you've spent on the lesson.
- Last position — where you paused, so you can resume.
- Completed date — when you finished that lesson.
How your percentage is calculated
Your overall progress percent reflects how many of the course's lessons you've completed relative to the total. Completing a lesson advances the bar; the more lessons a course has, the smaller each step. When every required lesson (and any required quiz) is complete, you reach 100% and the course is marked completed.
Tip: Progress is per lesson, not per minute. Opening a long lesson doesn't move the bar — completing it does.
Resuming where you left off
Because StretchLearn records your last position, you can leave a course and come back without losing your place:
- Close the course any time — your position is saved.
- Later, reopen the course from your student portal.
- StretchLearn returns you to where you paused, and your completed lessons stay checked off.
Marking a lesson complete
- Work through the lesson content.
- When you finish, mark the lesson complete (or it's recorded as complete when you finish it, depending on the lesson).
- The lesson shows as done, your progress percent updates, and the next lesson becomes your current position.
A realistic example
```
Course: Operator Certification (7 lessons)
- Completed 3 lessons in Module 1 → progress 43%
- Paused mid-way through lesson 4 → last position saved
- Returned next day → resumed at lesson 4, progress still 43%
- Completed lessons 4–7 → progress 100%, course marked completed
```
Tips
- Finish lessons deliberately — a lesson left in progress doesn't count toward completion even if you watched most of it.
- If you switch devices, sign in with the same account so your progress follows you.
- Your last activity date updates each time you work on the course; a stale date usually means you haven't opened it recently, not that progress was lost.
Troubleshooting
- A completed lesson shows as incomplete. Reopen the lesson and make sure you reached the end / marked it complete. Then refresh the course.
- My percentage seems stuck. Confirm you're completing lessons, not just opening them. The bar moves on completion.
- I lost my place. Sign in with the same account you used before — progress is tied to your account and enrollment, so a different account starts fresh.
- The course won't mark complete. There may be a required lesson or a required quiz you haven't finished. Check for any lesson still showing in progress and any quiz you haven't passed.
- Everything looks wrong after re-enrolling. Re-enrolling can create a fresh enrollment. If your old progress seems gone, contact the course provider — the original enrollment and its history are retained on their side.
What to do next
- If a quiz is blocking completion, see Take a course quiz.
- To collect your proof once you hit 100%, see Earn and share your course certificate.
