Earn and share your course certificate

How to earn a StretchLearn certificate, where to find it, what its number and verification link mean, and how to share proof of completion that anyone can verify.

Overview

Finishing a course in StretchLearn can earn you a certificate — a verifiable record that you completed it. This article explains how certificates are earned, where to find yours, what its number and verification link mean, and how to share it as trustworthy proof.

How you earn a certificate

  1. Complete every required lesson in the course so your progress reaches 100%.
  2. Pass any required quiz at or above its passing score.
  3. Once the course is complete, a certificate is issued for it (some providers issue it automatically; others issue it from their side once you finish).

Each certificate is tied to your account and the specific course, so it's genuinely yours.

What's on a certificate

Every certificate carries:

  • A unique certificate number — a code like SL-9F3A2B1C.
  • The recipient name — the name printed as the earner (this can be set to your preferred name).
  • The course title you completed.
  • The issue date.
  • A verification link built from the certificate number.

Find your certificate

  1. Sign in and open Learn.
  2. Go to the completed course or your certificates area in the student portal.
  3. Locate the certificate by its course title and number.
  4. Download it or copy its verification link to share.

Share and verify

The certificate's verification link is what makes your proof trustworthy. Anyone you share it with — an employer, a client, an auditor — can open it and confirm the certificate is real. The verification page shows the recipient name, the course title, and the issue date, all without needing any access to the learning workspace.

What a verifier sees

Certificate: SL-9F3A2B1C
Recipient: Jordan Ruiz
Course: Operator Certification
Issued: 2026-07-09

Because the check is live, a verification link is stronger proof than a PDF — a link can be confirmed on the spot, while a file could be edited.

A realistic example

1. Finish "Operator Certification" → progress 100%, quiz passed.
2. Certificate SL-9F3A2B1C issued to "Jordan Ruiz".
3. Open it in the portal; copy the verification link.
4. Paste the link into an email to your manager as proof.
5. Your manager opens it and sees the recipient, course, and date confirmed.

Tips

  • Share the verification link, not just a screenshot — it's the version a third party can trust.
  • Check that the recipient name is the name you want on record; ask the provider to correct it if needed.
  • Keep the certificate number somewhere safe; it's the key to the verification link.
  • Add the certificate (and its link) to your professional profile or portfolio to make completions count.

Troubleshooting

  • I finished but there's no certificate. Not every course issues one, and some are issued manually by the provider after you complete. Confirm you're at 100% and passed any required quiz, then check with the provider.
  • The verification link says not found. Re-check the certificate number for typos — the lookup is exact — and use the full link from your portal.
  • The name on my certificate is wrong. The recipient name is set when the certificate is issued. Ask the provider to reissue it with the correct name (reissuing updates the same certificate rather than duplicating it).
  • I need the certificate again later. Sign in with the same account; your certificates stay in your portal after a course ends.
