Tour of the StretchDesign Dashboard and Designs Library

Understand the home dashboard counts, the Designs list, statuses, and how to search, open, duplicate, and delete designs.

Overview

Before you dive into the editor, it helps to know your way around the two screens you'll return to most: the dashboard and the Designs library. This tour explains what each part shows and how to manage designs from the list.

The dashboard

The dashboard is the first thing you see when you open StretchDesign. It gives you an at-a-glance summary of your organization's design library:

  • Total designs — every design in your organization, drafts and published.
  • Published designs — designs whose status is set to published (finished and ready to use).
  • Brand kits — how many reusable brand kits you have set up.
  • Templates — starter templates available to you (system starters plus any your organization has saved).
  • Assets — images and logos in your shared upload library.

Below the summary you'll find quick links to create a new design, open the templates gallery, and jump back into recent work.

The Designs library

Open Designs to see the full list of everything your organization has created. Key things to know:

  1. Designs are sorted by most recent activity — the design you last edited appears at the top.
  2. Each row shows the design's name, a thumbnail, its canvas size, and its status (draft or published).
  3. If a design has had a quality check run on it, a check indicator appears on its card so you can spot issues without opening it.
  4. The list shows up to 200 of your most recently updated designs.

Searching and filtering

  1. Use the search box to filter by design name.
  2. Where available, filter by status to see only drafts or only published designs.

Opening and managing a design

Open

Click any design card to open it in the editor. It loads exactly where you left off.

Rename

  1. Open the design.
  2. Edit the name field at the top of the editor.
  3. The new name saves automatically.

Change status (publish)

Designs start as draft. When a design is finished, set its status to published so it counts as done and is easy to filter for. Publishing does not lock the design — you can keep editing.

Duplicate as a resized copy

StretchDesign's Magic Resize can save a resized copy as a brand-new design, which is the quickest way to spin up a variant. See the smart-tools guide for details.

Delete

  1. From the design card menu (or inside the editor), choose Delete.
  2. Confirm. Deletion removes the design and its version history from your organization's library.

Deletion is permanent. There is no trash or undo for a deleted design, so only delete work you're certain you no longer need.

Realistic example

Your dashboard shows 42 total designs and 9 published. You open Designs, type holiday in the search box, and see three drafts from last year's campaign. You open the strongest one, run Magic Resize to create a fresh square version, rename it Holiday 2026 — IG, finish the edits, and set its status to published. Your published count ticks up to 10.

Tips

  • Set a design to published when it's done — it keeps your drafts and finished work cleanly separated and your dashboard counts meaningful.
  • Because the list is sorted by recent activity, a quick way to resurface a design is simply to open and touch it.
  • Watch the check indicator on cards to catch quality issues before you hand work off.
  • Keep the library tidy: delete genuinely dead drafts, but remember deletion is permanent.

Troubleshooting

A design I expected isn't in the list. Confirm you're in the right organization (the list is org-scoped), clear any status filter, and search by name. The list caps at the 200 most recently updated designs.

The counts on my dashboard look wrong. The dashboard reflects your organization's data only. If a teammate just added designs, refresh to pull the latest totals.
