Real-Time Multiplayer Editing

Design together in the same document with live cursors, shared selections, and object changes that sync between everyone in real time.

Design together

StretchDesign can now show multiple people editing the same design at once:

  • Live cursors and presence — see who is in the document and where their pointer is.
  • Shared object sync — when a teammate moves, resizes, or recolours an object, you see it happen.
  • Field-level merging — two people editing different objects, or even different properties of the same object, both keep their changes instead of overwriting each other.

How to use it

  1. Open a design in StretchDesign.
  2. When a collaborator opens the same design, their cursor and presence appear.
  3. Edit together — object changes flow both ways.

Availability

Beta — rolling out. Real-time multiplayer is released behind a feature flag and needs a final live verification before it is enabled for everyone. Your design is always saved through the normal save path regardless. If you do not see collaborators' cursors yet, multiplayer has not been turned on for your workspace.

Good to know

  • Live editing is designed to keep concurrent changes to different objects — and different properties of the same object — from clobbering each other.
  • On-canvas comment mentions and follow-mode are planned as follow-up collaboration niceties.
