Overview
Two features keep your designs consistent and fast to produce: the shared asset library (your uploaded images and logos) and brand kits (your saved colors, fonts, and logo). This guide covers both.
Uploading assets
Assets are images and logos you upload once and reuse across any design. They live in a shared library scoped to your organization, so the whole team can use them.
- Open the Uploads panel in the editor.
- Choose Upload and select an image from your device.
- Give the asset a clear name so it's findable later (for example,
Primary Logo — White). - Once uploaded, the asset appears in the panel. Drag it onto any canvas — directly, or into a frame.
What you can upload
- Logos (transparent PNGs work best).
- Product photos and lifestyle imagery.
- Icons, textures, and background images.
File size
Uploaded image data is stored with your organization's design data. Keep individual files reasonably sized — around 16 MB or less per file. Large files also make designs slower to load, so compress big photos before uploading. If an upload is rejected as too large, resize or compress it and try again.
Building a brand kit
A brand kit is a saved set of your brand's visual identity that you can apply with a click and check designs against:
- Colors — your palette (primary, secondary, and accent colors).
- Fonts — the typefaces your brand uses.
- Logo — your primary logo, stored as a reusable asset reference.
Set up a brand kit
- Open the Brand Kit panel.
- Add your brand colors — enter each hex value, or generate a coordinated set with palette generation (see the smart-tools guide) and add the ones you want.
- Add your brand fonts.
- Set your logo by pointing the kit at a logo you've uploaded to the asset library.
- Name and save the kit.
Apply a brand kit
With a brand kit in place, the Brand Kit panel offers one-click brand colors and fonts while you design, so you're never guessing at a hex code or picking the wrong typeface. You can also run a brand check to compare a finished design against the kit and flag anything off-brand.
Realistic example
Your company rebrands with a new navy-and-coral palette and a new headline font. You upload the new logo to Uploads, name it Logo 2026 — Navy, then open the Brand Kit panel and add the navy and coral hex values, the two brand fonts, and the new logo. From now on, every designer on your team applies those colors and fonts in one click, and a quick brand check confirms new work matches the guidelines before it ships.
Tips
- Upload transparent-background PNG logos so they sit cleanly on any color.
- Name assets and brand kits clearly — future you (and your teammates) will thank you.
- Compress large photos before uploading to keep designs snappy and under the size limit.
- Seed a brand kit's colors with palette generation to build out tints and accents quickly.
- Keep one authoritative brand kit per brand so the whole team pulls from the same source.
Troubleshooting
My upload failed or was rejected as too large. Individual files should be roughly 16 MB or under. Resize or compress the image and retry.
A teammate can't see an asset I uploaded. Confirm you're both in the same organization — the library is org-scoped. Ask them to refresh the Uploads panel.
Brand colors aren't showing in the panel. Make sure the brand kit was saved with color values entered. Reopen the Brand Kit panel and confirm the colors are listed.
A brand check says I have no brand kit. The design needs a brand kit attached (or one supplied at check time). Set up and attach a brand kit, then re-run the check.
