Subscription Billing: recurring plans, MRR and ARR

Create recurring plans, put customers on them, and let a billing run raise and post invoices automatically — with live MRR and ARR.

What this adds

StretchBooks can now run recurring revenue end to end, the way a subscription business needs.

  • Plans — define a price and a cadence (monthly, annual, or a custom interval). The price and cadence are snapshotted onto each subscription, so changing a plan later never silently re-prices existing customers.
  • Lifecycle — subscriptions move through trialing → active → past due → paused → canceled, and you can pause or resume them.
  • Billing run — a run raises invoices for everything due, posts them through the same double-entry ledger as the rest of StretchBooks, and is atomic, so a run either bills a subscription completely or not at all.
  • MRR / ARR — see monthly and annual recurring revenue from your active plans.

How to use it

  1. Open StretchBooks → Subscriptions → Plans and create a plan.
  2. Add a customer to a plan (optionally with a trial).
  3. Trigger or schedule a billing run; review the invoices it raised.
  4. Watch MRR / ARR on the Subscriptions overview.

Availability

Rolling out. Subscription billing is enabled per account. Invoices it raises post to your ledger like any other invoice.
