What this adds
A customer statement is the summary a customer asks for when they want to reconcile their account with you. StretchBooks builds it on demand from data you already have — no new bookkeeping required.
- Per-customer statement over any date range: opening balance, every invoice, payment and credit note in the window, a running balance, and a closing balance.
- Aging summary — current / 30 / 60 / 90+ so both sides can see what is overdue.
- Portfolio view — the same figures across all customers at once, to see who owes what.
Statements are computed from your invoices, payments and credit notes, so they always match your ledger.
How to use it
- Open StretchBooks → Customers → [a customer] → Statement.
- Pick a date range and generate. Share it as a document (see Viewing invoices and documents in the built-in reader).
- For an overview, open Customers → Statements for the whole portfolio.
Availability
Rolling out. Customer statements are enabled per account. No setup or migration of your data is needed — statements read your existing records.
