StretchAutomate: the connective tissue of your suite

StretchAutomate is the workflow automation app inside StretchSuite — the suite's native answer to Zapier. It watches for an event in one of your apps (a trigger) and automatically runs a chain of steps in response: sending an email, creating a task, tagging a customer, recording a payment, and more. Because every StretchSuite app is a built‑in connector, there are no third‑party integrations to maintain and no data leaving your platform. Connect once, then let information and work flow between apps without anyone lifting a finger.

Who it's for

StretchAutomate is built for operators, RevOps and marketing teams, support leads, and administrators who want to remove repetitive handoffs between apps. If you find yourself copying a new lead from CRM into a mailing list, chasing paid invoices to create the next task, or manually tagging customers who abandon a cart, those are automations waiting to happen. No code is required — you assemble workflows from a visual list of steps — but the model underneath is a real directed‑graph engine, so power users can build sophisticated multi‑branch logic.

What you can do

• Build workflows from a trigger plus a chain of steps. Triggers come in four types — Manual, Webhook, Schedule, and App event (a connector event such as lead_created or invoice_paid).
• Assemble steps of four kinds — actions (do something in a connector, e.g. send_email), filters (only continue when a condition is met), transforms (reshape data), and delays (wait before continuing). Steps form a directed acyclic graph (DAG): each step can depend on earlier ones.
• Connect your suite apps through the built‑in Connector Library: StretchCRM, StretchMail, StretchForms, StretchShop, StretchBooks, StretchTasks, StretchSchedule, StretchSocial, and StretchSupport — plus a generic Webhook / HTTP connector to reach anything else, and Built‑in logic for filters, delays, and transforms.
• Manage credentials safely with Connections — linked accounts that store a reference to a credential, never a plaintext secret.
• Validate the graph before you ship it and preview a topological execution plan that shows which steps run in which order, powered by the StretchAutomate engine.
• Run workflows in simulate mode (a full dry run with no real side effects) or live mode, and audit every execution — with a per‑step trace of inputs, outputs, skips, and retries — in the governed Run ledger.
• Get AI help — describe an automation in plain language and have StretchAutomate suggest a starting workflow (when your administrator has enabled AI suggestions).

How it fits the suite

StretchAutomate is the layer that makes StretchSuite feel like one product instead of ten. An order in StretchShop can open a task in StretchTasks; a paid invoice in StretchBooks can add a tag in StretchCRM; a new StretchForms submission can start a welcome email in StretchMail; an imminent SLA breach in StretchSupport can create a follow‑up. Every one of those apps is a first‑class connector with named triggers and actions, so you never wire up brittle integrations by hand.

Two surfaces, one model

StretchAutomate has two front doors that share the same concepts and tabs:

• The workspace surface (for customer and client users) is automatically scoped to your own organization — you only ever see and manage your own automations.
• The admin surface (for suite administrators) spans automations across the platform and requires an authorization step before any change is saved.
