Getting Started with StretchAnalytics

A first-run tour of StretchAnalytics: what it is, the five core concepts, and how to read your first dashboard.

What is StretchAnalytics?

StretchAnalytics is the shared analytics app inside StretchSuite — the suite's answer to Google Analytics and Mixpanel. Instead of asking you to bolt a tracking script onto your site and wait, it reads live activity from across the platform (events, form submissions, CRM signals, support tickets, and more) and turns it into KPI definitions, saved report views, and an explorable event stream.

When you open StretchAnalytics from the workspace, everything you see is automatically scoped to your active organization. Your organization is read from your signed-in session, not from anything in the address bar, so you only ever see your own data.

Five concepts to learn first

Learn these five terms and the rest of the app is intuitive:

  • Event — a single recorded signal, such as a page_view, cta_click, or form_submission. Events are the raw material every other view is built from.
  • KPI definition (metric) — a named, reusable measure such as Platform total events or Form submissions. Each KPI shows a current value scoped to your organization.
  • Metric snapshot — a point-in-time capture of a KPI's value, so you can see how a number moved over days and weeks.
  • Report view — a saved configuration (title, description, the metrics it tracks, and settings) that you can reuse, pause, reorder, or archive.
  • Dashboard — a report view made of widgets, where each widget is bound to a metric, an optional group-by, and a time range.

Step 1: Open the app

  1. Sign in to your StretchSuite workspace.
  2. In the app switcher, choose StretchAnalytics.
  3. The app opens on the Overview — the live dashboard for your organization.

If this is a brand-new workspace, some tiles may read zero. That is expected: numbers appear as activity accrues across your suite apps.

Step 2: Read the overview

The overview is organized top to bottom:

  1. Records summary — headline counts for the period: total events, page views, CTA clicks, form submissions, and messenger events.
  2. KPIs — the metric catalog, each with its current value and the suite app it draws from.
  3. Recent events — the most recent signals as they arrive, with event name, brand, site, page, and timestamp.
  4. Daily rollups — per-day totals by brand, site, and page so you can spot trends.
  5. Latest snapshots — the most recent KPI captures, with their quality status and how they were calculated.
  6. Saved report views — the reports you've created, ready to reopen.

Step 3: Run your first Explore query

  1. Open the Explore tab.
  2. Set Event to page_view.
  3. Set Group by to page_path.
  4. Set Bucket to day and pick a date range (for example the last 30 days).
  5. Run the query. You'll get a row per page (or per day) with a value and a count, plus how many events were scanned.

Example: your first week

Suppose you launched a landing page on Monday. By Friday you want a quick read. On the Overview you see 1,240 total events and 38 form submissions. You open Explore, group page_view by page_path, and find your new landing page is 60% of all views. You then open the Funnels tab, keep the default steps (page_viewcta_clickform_submission), and see a 3.1% end-to-end conversion. In under five minutes you know what's driving traffic and where visitors drop off — without writing a query by hand.

Tips

  • Start on the Overview every morning; it's the fastest read on the last day's activity.
  • If a KPI reads zero, check whether the source app (forms, CRM, support) actually has activity yet — StretchAnalytics reflects what the suite has recorded.
  • Save any Explore view you'll want again as a report view so you don't rebuild it.
  • Date ranges are your friend: almost every screen accepts a from/to window, so compare like-for-like periods.

FAQ

Do I need to install a tracking snippet? No. StretchAnalytics reads activity already flowing through your suite. Web and messenger events are captured for you.

Can other organizations see my data? No. Every read is hard-filtered to your authenticated organization.

Where do I go next? Read Understanding your StretchAnalytics Dashboard for a deeper tour of the overview, then Exploring events with the Explore tab.
