Where billing lives
Everything about money — your current plan, what's unlocked, invoices, receipts, and payment methods — lives in the Billing app, under the Account group in your workspace navigation. Because entitlements are tied to your organization, billing is always scoped to your active organization: if you belong to more than one, make sure the right workspace is active before making changes.
Payments and subscriptions are handled securely through our payment processor; StretchSuite doesn't store your raw card details.
Choosing or changing your plan
- Sign in and confirm the correct organization is active (check the header).
- Open Billing from the navigation.
- Review your current plan and what it includes.
- To change it, choose a different membership (Core, Pro, or Agency), or add an individual app or bundle.
- Confirm and complete checkout.
- Once payment is confirmed, your organization's entitlements update and the newly included apps unlock across the workspace.
Updating your payment method
- Open Billing.
- Go to the payment method / billing details area.
- Add or update your card (or other supported method) through the secure billing portal.
- Save. Future charges use the updated method.
Keeping a valid payment method on file prevents an interruption to your apps if a renewal fails.
Finding invoices and receipts
- Open Billing.
- Locate the invoices / billing history section.
- Download the invoice or receipt you need — useful for expense reports and bookkeeping.
Each invoice reflects the plan, apps, or bundles active for your organization during that billing period.
Canceling or downgrading
- Open Billing.
- Choose to downgrade to a lower plan or cancel your subscription.
- Confirm. Your entitlements adjust accordingly — apps above your new level lock at the end of the paid period.
Your data is not deleted when you downgrade or cancel. Records stay stored under your organization; if you re-subscribe, the corresponding apps unlock again with your data intact.
A realistic example
Cedar Coffee is on Pro but decides they no longer need the Agency-level features they were trialing. Their owner opens Billing, confirms Cedar Coffee is the active organization, and downgrades from a temporary Agency add-on back to Pro. The Agency-only capabilities lock at the end of the current period, the next invoice reflects the Pro price, and none of their StretchShop products or StretchBooks records are touched. Later they download the last three invoices from the billing history for their accountant.
Tips
- Annual billing usually costs less than monthly for the same plan or app — worth checking if you're committed for the year.
- Watch renewal dates. If a card expires, update it in advance to avoid apps locking mid-month.
- Right organization first. Always confirm the active workspace before changing a plan, so you don't upgrade the wrong company.
- Keep receipts. Download invoices as you go rather than hunting for them at tax time.
Troubleshooting
My payment failed and apps locked. Update your payment method in Billing and retry; once the charge succeeds, entitlements restore.
I upgraded but don't see the new apps. Entitlements update after the payment confirms. Refresh, and confirm you're in the organization you upgraded. If it persists, contact support with your receipt.
I was charged an amount I didn't expect. Open the relevant invoice in billing history to see the line items, then contact support if something looks wrong.
I need to change who's billed / update the billing email. Manage billing contact details in the Billing app, or contact support if you need to transfer billing ownership.
