Two ways to launch, both fast
The workspace gives you two complementary launchers:
- Recently used — a short list of the apps you touched most recently, for one-click return to routine work.
- The App Launcher — the full grid of every app, for finding anything.
Both appear on the Dashboard; the App Launcher is also the whole My Apps page, and Recently used rows also appear on category pages.
How Recently used works
Every time you open an app, the workspace records it automatically — you don't have to do anything. The most recently opened apps float to the top of the Recently used list, and the list shows your latest six.
A few details worth knowing:
- It's automatic. Simply navigating to an app (from the rail, the launcher, or a link) adds it to your history.
- It's most-recent-first. The app you opened last appears first.
- It falls back to featured apps. If you're new and haven't opened anything yet, Recently used shows a featured set instead — CRM, Books, Tasks, Schedule, Calendar, Meet, and Projects — so the panel is never empty. The moment you open a real app, your actual history takes over.
- It's per category on category pages. The Recently used row on, say, the Content & Creative page shows only recent apps from that category.
How the App Launcher works
The App Launcher lists every app available to your workspace, each as a card with its name, a short description, and an Open app button. On the Dashboard it's a compact panel; the My Apps page is the same launcher in full, with richer cards, statuses, and upgrade paths.
To launch anything:
- Open the Dashboard (or My Apps).
- Find the app in the launcher grid.
- Select Open app (or Open).
Putting them together for speed
- Start your day on the Dashboard. Your last six apps are right there under Recently used.
- Use the App Launcher to reach for something new or something you use rarely.
- Use category-page Recently used when you're already working within one area and want to bounce between its apps.
A quick example
At Payne Coaching, Priya opens StretchCRM, then StretchBooks, then StretchSchedule over the course of a morning. When she returns to the Dashboard after lunch, Recently used lists Schedule, Books, and CRM at the front — one click each. To send a newsletter, a task she does only monthly, she uses the full App Launcher to find StretchMail, which she'd otherwise have to hunt for. By the afternoon, Mail has joined her Recently used too.
Tips
- Recently used rewards routine. The more consistently you use the same handful of apps, the more it becomes a personal shortcut bar.
- Don't rely on Recently used for rarely-opened apps. For monthly or one-off tasks, go to the App Launcher / My Apps instead.
- A fresh workspace's Recently used is a suggestion, not history. Treat the featured fallback as "good places to start," not "things you opened."
Troubleshooting
"Recently used shows apps I never opened." Your history is empty, so the panel is showing the featured fallback set. Open a real app and your genuine history replaces it.
"An app I just opened isn't in Recently used." Return to or refresh the Dashboard so the panel re-reads your latest history. History updates as you navigate, but an already-open Dashboard tab won't retroactively change until reloaded.
"My Recently used looks different on another computer or browser." Recent history is tied to your session and browser; a different browser may show a different (or empty) list until you open apps there.
