Troubleshooting your workspace

Fixes for the handful of things that commonly trip people up in the workspace — sign-in loops, blank screens, missing apps or data, locked cards, and slow loads.

Start with the two-second checks

Before digging into anything specific, run these quick checks — they resolve the majority of issues:

  1. Are you signed in? If any page bounces you to the sign-in screen, your session expired. Sign in again.
  2. Are you in the right workspace? Read the top-bar breadcrumb. Wrong organization is the single most common cause of "missing" data. See Confirm you are in the right workspace.
  3. Have you refreshed? A hard refresh clears most transient glitches after a plan change, a switch, or a slow load.

Sign-in problems

Signed in but sent back to the sign-in page immediately. Your session cookie isn't sticking. Allow cookies for the workspace, turn off strict privacy extensions for this site, and avoid private/incognito windows, which often block the session.

Correct email and password but can't get in. Your workspace membership may not be approved yet, or was removed. Access is approval-gated — contact your workspace administrator or file a support request.

Blank or empty screens

The Dashboard or an app looks empty. Usually this is genuine: a new or different workspace simply has no data yet. Confirm the active organization first. If you expected data, you may be in the wrong workspace — switch and recheck.

A page won't finish loading. The shell (rail and top bar) loads before app content, so a spinner in the content area points to a slow network or a temporary service hiccup. Wait a few seconds, then refresh.

Apps and cards

An app is missing from the rail. Open My Apps to see the full catalog and each app's status, and confirm your organization. If it's genuinely absent, it may be outside your plan.

An app card shows Locked. It's not in your current plan. Use Upgrade to see which plan includes it. See What to check when an app card is locked.

An app shows Coming soon or Placeholder. It's entitled but its full experience isn't live yet in your workspace; you may see a preview. See Understand app launch states in My Apps.

Recently used shows apps I didn't open. Your history is empty, so the panel is showing the featured fallback set. Open a real app and your true history takes over.

Switching and context

After switching workspaces, everything looks wrong. You're probably in a different organization than intended. Check the breadcrumb and switch again. See Switch between your workspaces.

Data disappeared after it was there before. Most often the active organization changed. Confirm the org name and, if names are similar, the organization ID on the Dashboard.

When to file a support request

If a check above didn't fix it, file a request — and because you do it from inside the workspace, it already carries your organization context:

  1. On the Dashboard, select Support (or open StretchSupport from the rail).
  2. Describe what you did, what you expected, and what happened.
  3. Include the app name and, if relevant, the organization ID from the Dashboard hero panel.

A quick example

Ross reports that Payne Coaching's clients "vanished." Walking through the checks: the breadcrumb reads "Maria Studio," not "Payne Coaching." Ross had switched workspaces earlier and forgotten. He uses the switch-workspace icon to return to Payne Coaching, the breadcrumb updates, and every client is right where it was — no data was ever lost.

Tips

  • Refresh before you report. A surprising share of glitches clear on reload.
  • Confirm context before assuming data loss. Wrong-workspace beats data-loss as an explanation nine times out of ten.
  • File support from inside the workspace. It attaches your context automatically, which speeds up resolution.

FAQ

"Who do I contact if it's an access/approval issue?" Your workspace administrator handles memberships and plans. Support can help with everything else.

"I get logged out often." Check that your browser isn't clearing cookies on close and that privacy extensions aren't blocking the workspace's session.
