Orient your workspace and open your first app

Your first minute

The first time you sign in, you land on the Dashboard — your workspace control room. Before you click anything, take ten seconds to spot the three permanent zones you'll use constantly:

• Left rail — your apps, grouped by category.
• Top bar — breadcrumb, theme toggle, notifications, and your account chip.
• Content area — the Dashboard right now; whatever app you open next after this.

Follow the guided tour

The top bar includes an onboarding tour. If you're new, run it first — it points at each part of the shell (sidebar, top bar, dashboard stats, app launcher, and recently-used apps) so the layout clicks quickly. You can stop and restart it any time; it won't change any of your data.

Open your first app — the fast way

1. On the Dashboard, find the App launcher panel. It lists every app available to your workspace with a short description of each.
2. Scan for the app you want — for example StretchCRM for contacts and deals.
3. Select Open app on its card. The app fills the content area.

That's the quickest path when you don't yet know where things live.

1. In the left rail, find the category group your task belongs to. Contacts and deals are Operations; documents are Content & Creative; storefronts are Commerce & Growth.
2. Select the category to expand it. The apps inside appear beneath it.
3. Select the app — for example StretchSchedule — and it opens.

The rail is the way you'll navigate most of the time once you know the categories.

Come back to where you were

Every app you open is quietly added to Recently used, shown on the Dashboard and in each category page. So after you've poked around, returning to the last few apps you touched is a single click — no hunting. See Use Recently used and the App Launcher.

A quick example

Jordan just joined Payne Coaching. On first sign-in Jordan runs the onboarding tour, which highlights the sidebar and the Dashboard stat cards. Jordan then opens the App launcher panel, spots StretchTasks, and selects Open app to see the team's task board. Next Jordan expands Operations in the left rail and opens StretchCalendar to check the week. Both apps now appear under Recently used on the Dashboard, so tomorrow Jordan can jump straight back in.

Tips

• Don't try to learn every app at once. Open the two or three you actually need this week; the rest will still be there.
• Set your theme now. Toggle light/dark in the top bar so the workspace is comfortable before you dig in.
• Note your workspace name in the breadcrumb. If you belong to more than one organization, glancing at the top bar becomes a habit that prevents mistakes later.

Troubleshooting

"The Dashboard looks empty." A new workspace hasn't accumulated data yet — that's expected. The app launcher and rail still work; open an app and start creating.

"I opened an app but it says Coming soon or shows a placeholder." Some apps display a preview state depending on your plan or rollout. See Understand app launch states in My Apps.

"I can't find an app I was told I have." Check you're in the right workspace (top-bar breadcrumb), then open My Apps to see the full catalog and each app's status.
