How signing in works
You sign in at /login with the email and password from your StretchSuite account. Your credentials are verified against the platform, and a secure, organization-scoped session is created. "Org-scoped" means the session always resolves against exactly one organization at a time, so you only ever see one workspace's data even if you belong to several.
Steps: sign in
1. Go to /login.
2. Enter your Email (format you@company.com).
3. Enter your Password. Use the eye icon to reveal it if you want to check what you typed.
4. Decide whether to leave Keep me signed in checked. Leave it on to stay signed in on this device between visits; turn it off on a shared or public computer.
5. Select Enter workspace. The button shows "Signing in…" while it works.
6. What happens next depends on your memberships:
- If you belong to one organization, you go straight to your dashboard.
- If you belong to more than one, you're taken to /select-workspace to choose which organization to open. See Switch between organizations and workspaces.
About single sign-on (SSO)
The sign-in screen shows a Continue with SSO option, but it is currently gated and appears disabled — you'll see a "gated" chip on it. During this phase, sign in with your email and password. SSO will become available as the rollout progresses; until then the button intentionally does nothing.
Steps: sign out
- Open your Account page at /account (or the workspace selector at /select-workspace).
- Select Sign out. This clears your current workspace session and returns you to the sign-in screen.
- On a shared device, confirm you're back at /login before walking away.
Signing out clears the active session so the next person can't reach your workspace with the back button.
Realistic example
Lena signs in from her own laptop at /login, leaves Keep me signed in checked, and — because she belongs to just one organization — lands on her dashboard immediately. Later, at a client's office, she signs in on a shared machine, this time unchecking Keep me signed in. When she finishes, she opens /account and selects Sign out so her session doesn't linger on the shared computer.
Tips
- Uncheck "Keep me signed in" on shared devices. It's the simplest way to avoid leaving a live session behind.
- Always sign out explicitly on machines that aren't yours. Closing the tab is not the same as ending the session.
- Reveal your password before submitting if a sign-in keeps failing — a mistyped or auto-filled password is the most common cause.
- Your session is auditable. Access is org-scoped with route-level auditing, so actions are attributable to your account within the active organization. Keep your credentials to yourself.
Troubleshooting
- "Unable to sign in." Double-check the email and password. If they're right and it still fails, your account may not be active yet (see StretchSuite account statuses explained) or you may need to reset your password (see If you forgot your password or can't get in).
- You sign in but land on the workspace selector every time. That's expected when you belong to multiple organizations — pick one to continue, or see Switch between organizations and workspaces.
- You're signed out unexpectedly. If you didn't check "Keep me signed in," your session ends sooner. Sign in again and check the box on trusted devices.
- The wrong organization opens after sign-in. Use Switch Workspace from /account to change context; the selection is remembered for your session.
FAQ
Does closing my browser sign me out? Not necessarily — with "Keep me signed in" enabled, your session can persist. To be certain you're signed out, use the explicit Sign out action.
Can I be signed in on more than one device? Yes. Signing in on a second device creates its own session there. Sign out from each device you no longer want to leave active.
